Our Story
Stack Physio began life on Stack St in Fremantle in October 2017 (now you know where the name comes from!).
Ben had spent the previous few years working full time in professional rugby with the Western Force, before they were controversially forced out of Super Rugby in 2017. Deciding it was time for a change, Ben returned to private practice and opened Stack St Physio with a view to providing Fremantle with a clinic of experience and insight into elite sports physiotherapy.
The clinic has grown over the past few years, adding another two great physiotherapists in Nicola Rutty and Peter Gangemi, each with their own unique sporting and professional backgrounds. We’ve added great front desk support with Lisa and Rosie. In addition to one-to-one physiotherapy consultations, we’ve set up regular small group exercise classes, workshops on everything from foam rolling to back rehab programs, collaborated with a range of local businesses and sports groups, and created fantastic links with other local health professionals.
We have a great network of Sports Physicians, Orthopaedic Specialists, GPs, allied health practitioners and others that we work closely with.
We’ve built an incredible community around our little clinic, so much so that we outgrew our Stack St home. After many months of searching for the right place, Ben was able to realise a long-held dream and custom-build the new and improved Stack Physio clinic on Carrington St in Fremantle, with doors opening in April 2022.
Our outstanding new space, with more consult rooms, a large rehab gym, and separate movement room, will enable us to provide the kinds of services we know will benefit our patients. Think regular, tailored group exercise classes; short courses and programs for specific injuries; seminars; collaborations with other health and exercise professionals; and an environment where we can provide everything to take you from acute injury back to full performance and on to prevention.
